Finnland is not a country famous for their parks and rollercoasters. But once you are there you should not miss two of their interesting parks: Linnanmäki and Särkänniemi. Linnamäki is set on a hill in the midlle of Helsinki, which limits the park in size but also makes it very interesting. It features an old wooden coaster "Vuoristorata" which features manual brakes, so that there always has to be an operator on the train. The park also has a premier rides water coaster, a space shot, rapids river, small inddor coaster and various other rides packed on it's small area. Attached to the Park is a Sea Life Center. One very interesting ride you should not miss is the fun house "Vekula". Särkänniemi is also a park which is pretty much in a city (Tampere). It is on an penisula at the shore of one of the nearby lakes. The park contains a real TV tower and a planetarium as well as the amusement park attractions. Rollercoasters are a Schwarzkopf Jet-Star, a Vekoma Corkscrew and the new Intamin inverted coaster "Tornado" which was build with the station inside of a cave, with the track crossing the station with a heartline twist.
